Sunday began week four of my new meal/weight loss plan courtesy of Mike. I have to say it’s bee going really well. The first week was really really tough, but I had a lot of things going against me: I drastically cut down my calorie intake, as well as cut out all sugar, fake sugar, and pretty much all caffeine. To say I was having withdrawals was an understatement. But I pushed on. I began drinking a minimum of 1-2 liters of water a day, and I haven’t stopped since. Besides the may trips to the little girls room, I am finding that I am enjoying my water. Monday – Friday I eat basically the same thing every day, and the weekends I get “cheat” meals for lunch & dinner.
In three weeks I have lost 9 pounds. This includes indulging just a bit with the Thanksgiving holiday! It just proves to me that when I make the decision to do something no matter what, that determination makes me successful. It’s getting to the point that even on my cheat meals I find myself not cheating as badly as I thought I would. I find myself craving sweets and soda and coffee less and less. I find myself craving water all the time. I’m loving this new lifestyle I am adapting. And now I’m realizing that all the junk I was putting into my body was just that, junk. I haven’t had a migraine since I started – and that is amazing. I was reaching the point where I was getting at least a migraine a week … but now I haven’t had one in three weeks (knock on wood).
I’m just really proud of myself, of the strides I’m taking towards being healthier. And I’m starting to notice the physical transformation just a little bit too. Other people have said they see the difference in me too – which is exciting!!! Another exciting venture? I decided to join in on another Diet Bet. This one is hosted by Kym over at Travel Babbles.
